1890s St Louis Bridge & Iron Company Construction Advertising Trade Card Antique

Description: This is a lot of two original antique c.1890s Victorian trade cards issued by the St. Louis Bridge & Iron Company of St. Louis, Missouri. These cards are the same and both printed one side only measuring about 5.5” x 3”. These cards are printed with text that reads: Dear Sir: Desiring to have timely notice of every Bridge letting in your township, we will pay you ONE DOLLAR for your trouble of informing us of such letting: payment to be made on date of letting, on presentation of this card to your Agent. Yours Truly, St. Louis Bridge & Iron Co. – St. Louis, Mo. These cards aren’t dated but look to be late 19th century and was probably produced in the 1890s. One card has a bit of a desiccated rubber and stuck to it and the other card is in very good condition overall with just light handling wear and a bit of toning from age. Email any questions.
