Description: 1939-46 Exhibits - Hank Greenburg (HOF) - Detroit Tigers -G/VG Offered up for sale is an exhibit card featuring one of the greatest sluggers in baseball history, Hank Greenburg. Exhibit cards were dispensed from a vending machine back in the old days for like a penny. This card captures Hank swinging and maybe cracking a double or better? It's a great photo. Hank Greenburg is was from NYC and was pursued by the Yankees. But Hank knew the Yankees already had a first basemen by the name of Lou Gehrig and didn't want to get blocked, so he signed with Detroit instead. Turns out that was a great call on his part, as he went on to become a top tier HOFer, and the best Jewish ballplayer that ever played. This card has some condition issues, but still presents well. There is honest corner wear, and a few wrinkles on front and back (Please see photos). Nontheless this card is a great addition to any Pre-War, Hank Greenburg, Detroit Tigers collection.
