Description: Two vintage unused boxes of Master Glaze automotive car wax. Product is still in the boxes. This Master Glaze is from 1944. The boxes it was shipped in are shown in the pictures as well as a picture of the crumpled up newspaper that was used to fill a void in one of the boxes. The Master Glaze Company Milwaukee, Wis. I believe my grandfather sold this product at his gas station in Bakersburg, OK now known as Baker. Bakersburg, Oklahoma was born beside the tracks of the Beaver, Meade & Englewood Railroad in the spring of 1925 and was named for the land donor, banker Mr. Baker of Hooker, Oklahoma. The town gained a new post office on June 5, 1931 under Postmaster Jeff M. Parsons. When the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad built through Bakersburg in 1929, the town was thriving! On August 15, 1953, the town officially dropped "burg" from its name to become Baker. Unfortunately, the railroads declined and the town with them.
