WHITE SPOTS AND STREAKS ARE REFLECTIONS AND GLARE FROM THE LIGHTING. They measure 9 inches wide by 1 1/8ths inches high. ARCOPAL embossed crests on the bottoms. No cracks, chips, gouges or stains. I find some light surface scuffs commensurate with normal use, cleaning and storage. This lovely and well-made set of bowls is clean, bright and ready for service and display.
