Description: 2-in-1 Slip Shade Chandelier by Lincoln Manufacturing, Restored & Guaranteed! This classic slip shade chandelier was manufactured by Lincoln Manufacturing in Detroit during the 1920's or 1930's. It is Lincoln's 2-in-1 Model, so named because the shades can be mounted either pointing down or up. Our photos show it with shades down. It has a patent application date of 1924 stamped on it but it was manufactured into the 1930's. We have restored the fixture and it is in excellent condition. The parts have been repainted in gold and accented in silver. We rewired the fixture including all new bulb sockets and new cloth covered twisted wire between the sockets and the ceiling (the wires below the cloth are insulated in standard plastic). We added a copper ground wire to bring the fixture up to modern code and it can be seen following the twists along the electric cord. The chandelier measures 35" from bottom to the ceiling. The chain is 11" long and we could reduce the length up to about 10" if 35" is too long for your room. The diameter with shades in place is 18". The sale includes the correct mounting hardware. Each of the shades is in good condition with no obvious defects. The fixture is guaranteed to perform correctly and we will accept its return if the buyer is dissatisfied.
