Description: Antique 1930s 1940s Brown Silk Velvet Dressing Gown Robe Fur Collar & Cuffs AS IS. This stunning brown silk velvet bias cut robe dates back to the 1930s or early 1940s. The sleeve shape is reminiscent of the leg of mutton sleeves popular in the 1890s, falling just past the elbow with a light shoulder padding. The collar and cuffs are trimmed with a light gray fur. 8 loops and buttons fasten the bodice of the rob with a series of snaps at the waist. The center front of the robe tapers into a long train. This piece is in fair antique condition. The seams at the under arm have holes. There are a few places where the velvet is balding, mostly on the buttons and loops. There is a small hole in the right sleeve. Fur is missing from the trim as well. Repairs have been made to the train as pictured. Please view all photos before purchasing and don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have about this piece! This piece is sold as is and has been priced according to the issues.
