Description: Here is this very beautiful and rare early 20th century antique Edwardian era handmade sterling silver brooch with a large beautiful olive green handcarved lava cameo, carefully examined under magnification this is a beautiful high relief carving with fine detailed hair and facial features, she does have a couple small chips not very noteworthy and she is very well preserved. The brooch weighs 13 grams and measures 1 5/8 inches x 1 1/4 inches and on the back has a straight pin and sturdy hooked closure. Please study the photos closely she has a tiny little chip under her chin and her down also has a couple little chips none of very noteworthy as she is a fabulous carving done by a master with beautiful facial features and hair and the pieces very well-made in a sturdy bezel setting and otherwise in excellent antique condition ... .
