Description: This antique Gone With The Wind lamp base is a beautiful piece of history with intricate floral Repousse embossing. Made of white milk glass with a shiny finish, it stands 9 inches tall from the table to bottom of the electric addition and has a diameter of 7 inches. The lamp base is designed for oil or kerosene and has been repurposed with an aftermarket electrical socket and switch. However there is currently no electrical wiring intact. This Victorian-style lamp, dating back to the 1800s, features an original and authentic design. It is made of early milk glass with a design of roses and flourishes embossed into the glass. There are still traces of green paint intact on the vines and leaves. This lamp base has a romantic, floral theme that will add a touch of elegance to any room. In addition, the glass portion sits on a fancy footed cast metal bottom. Both the glass section and the metal base are in excellent condition and can be used with a compatible shade and globe for a beautiful presentation. It was manufactured in the United States and is a great addition to any collector's inventory.
