Description: Antique Victorian Flue Cover w/3 Young Beautiful Girls Litho'd Print Late 1800s Click image to enlarge Description Offered for your consideration is an antique flue cover. Covers were very popular in the homes in the early to mid 1900s. The metal framed cover has a glass front and still retains the original backing, as well as a chain for displaying. The bubbles in the glass, which does appear to be original, leads to to believe that the flue cover is from the latter 1800s to the earlier part of the 1900s. Within the cover is a beautiful litho'd print of 3 young girls, each in a lovely pastel colored long dress. The left and right girls are carrying gorgeous flowers done in reds and pinks. Although many of these covers were made in Germany, I do not detect any marks of maker or origin anywhere on the creation. Overall, the cover is in very good 'as found' condition, with no breaks cracks or repairs. The colors of the print are still bright and vivid. The cover measures 9 1/2" in diameter and is about 3/16" thick. It has a weight of 10 ounces, and will ship at 1 pound 8 ounces, as it will be boxed for protection.
