Description: This is a lot of 15 original papers from Williamsport, PA, c. 1850s - 1930. The papers are mostly handwritten with numerous signatures. Many of the papers were sent to the Commissioners of Lycoming County in 1896, instructing them to pay Wilson Butz $15 (each) for the headstones of several indigent Civil War soldiers. There is a 1923 arrest warrant/summons for a man who allegedly beat up a woman. There are various handwritten items/receipts, etc. See photos for details. Papers have age-related wear. All paper items are shipped in protective plastic with hard boards to prevent damage.
