Description: Impressive Antonio Pineda silver bangle bracelet in superb bamboo pattern. Crafted of 970 silver and marked on a tiny plaque inside with Antonio crown, (partly worn), an eagle, (mostly worn), and the number 970, for the high silver content. These marks are associated with Pineda works produced between 1953 and 1979 (eagle years). Measures , 2 9/16" diamter, 7.75 inches interior circumference, weighs 30 grams. There are 4 imprints on silver on outside of bracelet. Two appear to be a similar mark, concave with numbers in them, one looks like 7, one looks like 9. Looked at them through loupe, had trouble making them out. Might be more readable with a good cleaning. I assume these two marks were made in Pineda's studio. Other two likely due to wear. Please see pictures. Bracelet is wonderfully designed and constructed, with undulations in the top and bottom of each bamboo segment. I like the little triangular bits that connect each segment. These are not found in real bamboo, perhaps they were a device to cover solder? Light patina, which looks great, but you may polish as you wish.
