Description: Great shape old note from 1820. Was in Weiss auctions, lot 148. Dated April 23, 1820. I know it is not the patriarch Astor, as his signature is fully written out. It can’t be JJ Astor the third, as he would be born roughly around this time. I believe it is the son of the founding Astor, also the brother of William Backhouse Astor. Great piece.
