Most Champions in the states and around the world used this very same cue stick. Yes, a 19 OUNCE WILLIE HOPPE POOL CUE. Willie Mosconi set the example in the early fourties and the1950s being a world Champion for Ten Years. And establishing a high run of 524 ball run without missing playing 14 -1 Rack, or Straight Pool. He used a Balabuska that was made from a 19 Oz Hoppe Cue Butt. These were likely made with an Ivory Ferrel and small collar butt ring made of Ivory. The Craftsmanship was intricately supervised on these cues, at each step, and the price was far greater than the Standard Black butt end Hoppe Cue Stick given away during Brunswick Exebitions. It Sold for 24.00 dollars. And was titled a standard "Professional Hoppe Cue". Normally. However this cue here could go as high as $125.00 to $129.00. around late 30's. Then in the Early Fifties. They generally came with a thick Leather Buckskin Brown color Case with a strap overlapping the Opening end. It came with a professional leather handle. Often a double shaft was made for breaking the rack then another shaft made specifically for play. This cue appears to be all in it's original form with case. The original shaft is included and while old, it's almost worn out, its been replaced with a fresh newer shaft sometime in its life. The Full Package here let's you easily see the cue is certainly in "fine condition". Almost Mint. Especially with it's newer shaft! These cues were the highlight of the champion players. Around during the late 30's and throughout the forties to include the 1950's. The condition is beautiful. It's all in very nice original condition, showing it's original shaft, and new one made to be totally complete and all in great playing condition. To include is a great Huebler fur lined case for its care and protection.
