The weight shown in this listing is a 2.25-pound variant, however, I am happy to offer 3 different iron hammer weights. If you are looking for something more particular do not hesitate to reach out for some custom sizing. Handle sizes will vary between weights from a small 14" handle up to 18" for the larger full-size forging hammers. I choose to work with American Southern Hickory sourced from the forests between North Carolina and Tennessee. I use both the two-pound and three-pound models of this hammer daily, and I find myself grabbing for the lighter hammer more often than not. The hammers are forged from one piece of 4350 steel, completely hand-forged, and finished in my shop. All forging is done through an open die forging process under the power hammer and all refining is done by hand. There have been countless hours gone through prototyping designs and proportions to give you the cleanest and most effective tool I can produce. I pride myself on the cleanliness of work and the hammers will arrive in mint condition and ready to work. I use the same style and weight hammer daily and it affords a forging pleasure you will not be able to find in any other style hammer.
