The SLR 10 is a great value in a performance binding with extra features. Very user friendly Twin Cam heel is very, very easy to step into. Lady specific shorter rail system fits any ladies size boot, but has none of the extra length usually found on other bindings that fit up to very large size boots. The Black Pearl 88 is the middle width version in the runaway best selling Black Pearl series. It offers a lady specific construction and a width that makes it a great choice as an all day, every day ski. It's sidecut geometry (shape), rocker profile, and turn radius make this a ski that can go anywhere and do anything a lady skier needs it to do. Very light and lively feeling, but also smooth and stable at the same time. This Black Pearl 88 includes Blizzard's lady specific WSD Lite Flip Core construction. Eco friendly light weight Bamboo laminates are mixed with even lighter isocore material inside the ski. The result is a ski that weighs less, and has a lower swing weight, but is still very stable and super smooth. ABS sidewalls further enhance the performance of this ski by providing a suspension system for the edges, and also by increasing torsional (twisting) stiffness. The core is flipped upside down when the ski is built, creating a springier structure that gives the ski great rebound from turn to turn. And now Flip Core incorporates carbon fiber, making it even better. Blizzard's unique Carbon FlipCore adds layers of graphite at the tip and tail, replacing the heavier fiberglass used in previous models. The addition of carbon graphite component lessens the weight of the ski's rockered tip and tail sections, making it more stable at speed, and giving the ski a lighter, livelier feel on the snow. The SLR 10 is super easy to get in and out of, even in deeper snow, and offers outstanding control of the ski. This binding is compatible with standard Alpine boot soles, but also with the newer Grip Walk boots that are available as well. Check out the features of the Tyrolia SLR 10 binding:Tyrolia Lite Diagonal TRP Toe - can release in any direction from horizontal to vertical. Offers very good protection in combined twisting falls. Light in weight, with a good firm link between boot toe and ski. Four roller bearings built into the very wide wings in contact with the boot toe minimize friction as the boot toe moves laterally to filter out vibrations, and also provide a low friction interface when the boot needs to release from the system. GW toe piece adjusts to fit either standard Alpine boot soles, or new Grip Walk boots, which are designed to make walking ski boots easier.
