It was purchased in 1998 but has not been used since 2005. It has been stored in a ring box in a smoke-free and pet-free home. This listing is only for the ring guard, not the diamond solitaire with the large center diamond. This ring guard was designed to fit a solitaire diamond or gemstone ring, typically a wedding solitaire ring. I used to wear this ring with round diamond solitaire rings that were 1 carat to 4 carats. This ring is in great pre-owned condition. The gold has scuffs or light scratches from wearing the ring, which is natural wear, but no damages. I recommend getting the ring cleaned and polished by your jeweler, since they have the equipment to polish any scratches so that the ring will look brand new; typically, jewelers charge a small fee or do not charge at all for gold polishing or diamond cleaning. Unfortunately, I no longer have the appraisal from the jeweler with the specific details as far as the diamond weight and diamond quality; I do not recall the exact diamond color, quality or the exact total diamond weight. With that said, it was not a cheap ring. It is a sturdy ring, not a thin ring band. I only buy quality diamonds and high quality jewelry. I received many compliments on this ring. This ring guard contains ten round shaped, brilliant cut, diamonds. I believe the total diamond weight to be approximately around 1 to 2 carats. As you can see in the pictures, the diamonds are not very small. There is a picture of the ring guard next to a measuring tape so each diamond appears to be approximately 3 mm in size. The ring guard setting for the diamonds also make the diamonds look larger, in my opinion. As you can see in the picture of the ring placed on the scale, the total weight of the ring is 5.8 grams. The diamond clarity is definitely eye-clean and there are no visible blemishes under the naked eye. In my opinion, the diamond color appears to be I or better since they look white, not yellow.
