It allows titles the studios doesn't want to mass produce to be printed in smaller batches. The DVD, case and artwork are still at the same standards for mass production titles. I do not manufacture these, I order them as needed from my distributor. Most of my listings use eBay's prefilled data, which has a stock image showing the slipcover even if it is no longer available.
