Description: Gouda pottery chamberstick. Unusual Gouda pottery chamberstick with handle, candle holder and match strike. This chamberstick is in the “Hilaire” pattern which features matte glaze and multi-colored flowers in deep red, orange with green foliage all outlined in gold on a warm gray background. Marked with model number “729” (or 429), “Hilare”, house mark, “O Holland Gouda” and “8811”. Cannot find this particular form anywhere, but believe it is from the 1920’s ? Measures 9-1/4" wide, 3-3/4'' deep and 3-1/4'' at the highest point. This chamberstick is in very good original condition without damage although there is a dark spot on one side of the candle holder (see photo 3), but was made that way. Nice, unusual piece for a collection or decor. All white areas are light reflections in photos. Questions are welcome and thanks for the interest! Insurance is included in shipping charge.
