Description: Rare vintage early edition hardback with the lovely original illustrations by Dorothy M. Wheeler. Published by Newnes in 1952. Fair to reasonable overall condition, without dustwrapper. Green boards have some browning and fading and some other faint marks. Corners are slightly bumped and rubbed. There are tape marks inside front. Pages are tanned with some foxing, mainly on end papers and edges. List of titles has been ticked off in front and there are a couple of scribbles on back blank end paper. A few illustrations have been coloured in, mostly fairly neatly. Pages are all intact. Great item for collectors!
