The head of the guide rod has smooth beveled edges to make for a seamless look. All kits are drop-in. This guide rod kit is made for the Rock Island Compact. You will need to fit the lugs on the top of the plug (shown in alternate image). This kit uses a 1/4" diameter guide rod, flat wire ISMI spring, and our fully machined reverse plug. The spring that comes packaged with the kit is a 22lb, which works perfect for .45 ACP. We do have 16lb springs available for smaller calibers that we could swap in per customer request. Please note not all parts are "drop in". As with all gun parts some installations may require disassembly and reassembly.
