FENDER TELECASTER 1996 50TH ANNIVERSARY JAPAN FUJIGEN CUSTOM TLG 96

Description: selling because i am in my early 70's and have too many guitars. only play a few times a year anymore and selling off collection. bought this guitar new in january 1997 from local fender dealer and have only used very little. local guitar luthier- guitar tec replaced the bridge pickup with a seymour duncan stk-2 bridge hot stack pickup when the guitar was brand new. bridge pickup is measurung 19.49 ohms but still has telecaster treble brightness. original pickup as shown in pics which is still in mint condition is measuring 6.1 ohms resistance. i will include the original pickup which is like new with the guitar should you want to put the guitar back to completely original. new gold hardware would make the guitar near mint condition for less than $100.00. neck very straight as you can see from pics and has a very light playing action with 9-42 strings and frets have very little wear. only very slight wear on second fret near nut on b and g string. cowboy chords? doesn't choke out even on the highest frets of 3 lighest strings g-b-e. includes guitar case shown in pics. a good case but this is a collectible guitar and you might want to get a more expensive case for gigs. this is a highly collectible guitar- very few fuji-gen japan guitars from early to mid 90-s in excellent condition still available especially 50th anniversary models. fender dating listed u+six digits as 1995-1996.this is a 1996 -1946-1996 anniversary badge on back of headstock.the guitar has a custom silver/ gray mop body binding which that matches the factory pearloid pickguard. everything else is original except for newer bridge pickup and newer brass bridge saddles. the guitar is nearly 30 years old now! will only appreciate in value each year. will only ship to lower 48 united states. will pack securely and insure the item for full value of guitar to protect buyer and myself during shipping a rare and collectible guitar. thanks for looking.
