Genuine vintage Gay Frères stainless steel expandable rivets bracelet with 19mm flush-fit ends from 1954. This rare bracelet is probably prototype for Rolex which introduced in 1954 as the flush-fit curved end, Gay Frères made bracelets for Rolex at that time. This bracelet has 11 links (6+5) and 6 inches (15.5cm) long at rest and 7 5/8 inches (19cm) long when fully extended. The expansion internal springs all have good tension, all expand and withdraw smoothly. The folding clasp closes tightly and securely. The clasp stamped STEELINOX, SWISS MADE, 1 54 (1st quarter of year 1954) and G F logo. Overall is in good pre-owned condition. *In 1988 Gay Freres bracelet manufacturer took over by Rolex.
