Original Allied Artists One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Ford Beebe jungle adventure, THE GOLDEN IDOL (1954) starring Johnny Sheffield, Anne Kimbell, and Paul Guilfoyle. Bomba the Jungle Boy was a series of twenty American boy's adventure books beginning publication in 1926. In 1949 Monogram Pictures brought the character to film with the popular Johnny Sheffield in the title role. Sheffield was already a household name because of his portrayal of the adorable "Boy" in the Tarzan films. In this installment, Bomba comes to the rescue when an evil Arab chieftain (Guilfoyle) steals a golden idol from the Watusi tribe. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine plus condition, with only some minor fold separations, a minor bleed through of a stamp on the reverse side, and edge wear.
