Description: Lovely Graflex 1942 Anniversary Speed Graphic outfitted with a Kodak Ektar 127mm f4.7 in a Supermatic shutter. The Supermatic shutter is in fine shape and all speeds work well. The glass is good and is without damage but there is some fairly minor haze that may be cleanable and shouldn't affect performance appreciably, especially for black & white. The original silver metal lens cap is included. The focal plane shutter is also in good shape and works well. This version has a four-position clutch to offer a greater range of speeds and everything seems to work just fine. The bellow is good and extends easily and the focus is smooth. The rangefinder is a Hugo Meyer Model 4C. It appears to be in good shape but is not coupled to the focus track. The ground glass is intact and the "sports" finder is in great shape. The optical viewfinder that normally sits on top of the camera is not present. Otherwise, the body is in great shape and has the original leather hand strap, also in great shape. What makes this camera unique and somewhat special is that the original Graflex factory documents are included. The Graflex tag lists the camera serial number and well as the included lens and its serial number and also served as the owner registration card. There is also a tag from the selling dealer, Liberty Photo in Pittsburgh. The camera was made in 1941, Liberty received it, and likely sold it, in 1942. Pretty good for an 83 year-old camera and ready to keep make photographs. Ships via USPS Priority Mail.
