Description: Hear 1969 Mirettes Northern Soul M- 45 (Heart Full of Gladness) The Mirettes – “Heart Full of Gladness” b/w ““Ain’t You Trying to Cross Over” (Uni 55125). Excellent northern soul from the spring of 1969 by the group composed of 3 former members of the Ikettes in the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, Robbie Montgomery, Venetta Fields and Jessie Smith. They left the Revue in 1965 and changed their name in 1966 to the Mirettes. Both of these cuts came from their LP, “Whirlpool” and both are solid soul. Take a listen to a little of each side. DJ copy. Record is in M- condition.
