Description: It is a free standing House Blessing Plaque decorated with the 14 traditional Stations of the Cross on either side of the deep bas-relief portrait of Christ Crowned with Thorns in the center, with scroll on the lower portion with inscription” Bless Our Home”. These are cast pewter portions with tropical wood background, set against highly reflective polished brass- an elegant composition. The plaque measures 6” high, including the round base of dark brown resin enhanced with a gold plate brass ring, and is 3” wide, graded in Near Mint condition, probably contemporary in age, made within the last 20 years; no information on the plaque as to exact maker or origin. A free booklet, published by Madonna House Publications, and with a 2004 Roman Catholic Imprimatur comes with the purchase of the plaque: The Stations of the Cross In the Footsteps of the Passion with Catherine Doherty 44 page soft cover with beautiful monochrome illustrations , see photos #1 and 6.
