Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single by Jefferson Starship titled "Light The Sky On Fire b/w Hyperdrive", originally released in 1979 by Grunt Records, manufactured by RCA Records. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for 45 RPM singles, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. The archival inner sleeve is graded as Near Mint. In the dead wax, between the labels and end of the tracks, is etched the matrix numbers 3-S/4-S, followed by an upper case "I", along with "Kendun JG", indicating that this record was mastered at Kendun Recorders of Burbank, California by John Golden, before early stampers were used to make this record at RCA Records' pressing plant, located in Indianapolis, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good Plus, because of superficial sleeve marks and one hairline on each side, none of which can be felt with a fingertip. I'm play grading this record as Very Good because of occasional pops and ticking, along with low levels of surface noise, none of which over-powers the vocals or the music. It plays all the way through without any skips or lock-ups from start to finish. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection.
