Description: These extra-long, vintage jhumki-earrings were handcrafted for the nomadic Afghan Kuchi tribe along the old Silk Road in Central Asia. More measurements and info are listed below after this description. Their 16-gauge earwires have large, vibrantly-beaded accents with bell dangles on the sides. Please note that at 16 gauge, the earwires are much thicker than standard earwires and will not fit through regular small earlobe piercings. Earrings with thick earwires were often worn attached to headpieces, veils, or attached directly to the hair - rather than through the ear. The lower part of the earrings have beaded bell-domes with more long bell-dangles that sway together when the head moves. In excellent condition, they have a rich age-patina and mild wear-patterns.
