Description: This listing is for a vintage Lee Wards 8-9015 New Orchids applique kit quilt. The quilt was nicely appliqued using needle-turn and matching or coordinating thread. There are embroidered accents giving the appliques detail and dimension. The quilt was hand quilted with a light batting and medium lavender backing fabric. The binding is a darker lavender and the edge of the quilt is notched. The quilt measures approximately 77" X 92.5". There is only one area of yellowing (last photo) which is from the sticker that Lee Wards puts on all of their quilt tops. The blue lines for both applique and quilting are still visible.This is another quilt that I purchased as a top, finished any applique and embroidery and then hand quilted it.
