Description: Commissioned for the Capitol Building bicentennial in 1993. Four detailed drawings depict the lineage of the U.S. capitol building including: Federal Hall (1789) in New York City; Congressional Hall (1790) in Philadelphia; the original Capitol Building (1829) in Washington as well as the rebuilt Capitol Building – the iconic version we know today. Each drawing is resplendently framed in gold leaf and indigo. The bowl’s footed base assures that it will always be considered a modern “classic.” These bowls were only available at the US Senate Stationary Store in 1993-1994, and were given as gifts from Members of Congress to staff, family and friends.
