I went out of my way to accurately describe this. Buying cases of these are so expensive so I am offering small packs. I have 100% Feedback in the past on these lots. Note: I am low on sterno cans so they are not offered in this new lot. Just the 4 meals. To be clear, these are not the military MRE’s that have all the extra stuff in it. Each pack is one entree / meal. These are far superior to the military rations & actually taste like really good food. I am selling just a few of these. On 2 orders , I will try to make them all different but over 3, expect some duplicates. Random servings of several top brands from Professional MRE Companies with no packs being older than * 2012 & i just broke the seal 3 of these cases to use in this listing. So all retain at least 12 years + shelf life remaining. I just obtained a large lot of Sealed cases (photos show the seal’s after I opened 2 of the cases). These are from an estate sale & were stored in a cool safe room in the house. I listed the brands below & also the meals I will be pulling from. Each will have one of the gold packs containing meat. All you need then is some bottled water, store all in a cool dark place like a closet or under a bed. These 3 packs if rationed right, can last one person a full weekend. This is the 8th time I’ve sold lots of these & I added some general information below from my old listings. These are much more tasty than the military MRE’s & are much longer lasting meals. These are for emergency long term storage. Everyone should have at least a week of food & water our back. 3 days to a week are projected wait times during an emergency to get adequate help. Amazon has the military MRE listed between $17 & $18 for 1 & were made as late as 2012. So that’s over $50 for a set of 3 that technically is expired. Makes perfect sense to get these here for much less, have a way longer shelf life, are not out of date & the taste is much better. These should last you for as long as you need of stored correctly. These will degrade in nutrients after 25 years but not technically go completely bad as long as they remain sealed. Just more info for new people buying these since I get a lot of questions on these. I am very experienced with MRE’s from my time in the Marine Corps, Law Enforcement & from working hurricane Katarina, Gustav, Ike & Sandy among other natural disasters. I go a little beyond the average seller on most of the items that I post. I research if I don’t know about a product & include the info on my listings. It just saves my customers time in making a determination if it’s for them or not & the basic item specs & info is right here for you. On this listing, I did not need to perform much research at all, been there done that, have a t-shirt to prove it. LOL The average numbers I hear a lot for Military MRE freshness are 3 years at “normal” temperatures (70 - 80 degrees F). I’ve also heard 10 years if they’re stored in cool conditions. I have eaten some that have been 20 years old & only found the cheese or apple sauce not taste right. But that’s it for the “official” information. The darn things last a long, long, time. As long as the individual MRE components aren’t damaged, punctured, (or swelling!), they should still be edible. Some people (on usenet) say that an MRE may lose its flavor or turn an unappetizing color but will still retain most of the nutritional value. But other people will say the nutritional value decays over time. Take your pick of opinions. If you want to really be safe, don’t base your nutritional health on 10-year old MREs. But for occasional eating or camping, you’re probably ok. But how do they really taste? I’ve eaten everything from one month old MREs to 20 year old MREs. The Patriot Meals have not been around since about 2016 or so I believe with military rations over 100 years. MRE’s used to be freeze dried until about 2008. The new modern methods provide better taste & much longer storage. Everyone should have at least a week worth of food & water as well as batteries etc in storage. The government may not be able to bail you out for several days. You should also never ever tell anyone what you have put back for obvious reasons. The people that don’t think ahead will become panicky after a couple of days when the lights go out. I could go on and on about this topic but if you are here, you know. With that said, If I list an item as new sealed, it is, but I may have opened it for the purpose of taking a photo for you or verifying the product & after since it was previously purchased. I immediately seal it back with a piece of tape. On Packaging, many times the packaging may show shelf wear especially on new/old stock & just normal handling during the estate sale. Packaging is mostly intended to keep the item safe & is usually destined for the trash can once opened anyways. Go to Walmart & scan a section of liquids & you will see varying differences in the fill level of the small neck with a tolerance of about an inch. Machines filling these are not perfect. Please don’t ding my feedback for an inch of liquid missing. Thats only like 1 or 2 cap fills, who can clean something with that? I can’t certify if someone opened & sniff checked the bottle before it was purchased at Walmart & maybe spilling a cap full. We’ve all done it & we see it done all the time. I bet you if the liquid is poured into a measuring cup, it will be dead on or very very close.😑 I am only going to list it if the item fully checks out by using common sense. About once or twice a year, I get the (I WANT A DISCOUNT) message that an inch is missing, holding my feedback over my head. I am listing these very low with very little profit margin & if the product doesn’t look right, I don’t list it. Period… please don’t hit me on a $19 item for an inch missing or a seal that comes off with the opening of the cap that I only made $3 profit on. I’m doing this mainly for something to do & to help people out by offering quality products at super great prices. From now on, I will have anyone that says an inch is missing simply return it & they can just find it somewhere else for $8 more & 6” missing. 🤣 All photos will be of the actual item with stock photos used only sparingly & I will mention when this is done. And again, these durn seals sometimes come off when checking the bottles & it will be stuck up in the cap.
