Description: A wonderful antique Edwardian 9k rose and yellow gold floral carved cross pendant, hallmarks for Joseph & Richard Griffin, 1905. This beautiful fine Edwardian Byzantine revival solid 9k gold cross pendant has been created with a solid 9k rose gold back and a solid 9k yellow gold (bloom finish) front. The cross has been wonderfully carved with pretty floral leaves all over and every space between them has been painstakingly linear etched to create a pendant which gleams, glows and glitters superbly as it touches the light. The pendant has a fixed bail with a hanging bail attached. The pendant has full English hallmarks with maker 'J&RG' for Joseph & Richard Griffin of Hylton St., Birmingham who operated from 1895 to 1926, the Chester town mark, '9 .375' and date letter 'E' for 1905. The pendant tests for 9k gold. The pendant measures approximately 38mm x 21mm including the bail and weighs about 2.2 grams. The pendant is in excellent condition with light general wear.
