Description: This is an outstanding specimen from an old Australian collection consisting of a complete group of elongated tan colored crystals of KUTNOHOITE on all sides with no other matrix from the New Broken Hill Consolidated Mine.(NBHC Mine) that is now part of the Zinc Corporation Mine, Broken Hill, Broken Hill District, Yancovinna County, New South Wales, Australia. The specimen is 5.4 by 2.8 by 2.2 cms in size or about 2.20 by 1.12 by 0.88 inches and weighs 14.2 grams. It was acquired from the late Cyril Kovac, a well known Australian mineral collector and dealer, and comes with its original Cyril, Kovac label and a clear plastic mounting base. It will be hard to find a better KUTNOHORITE specimen from this famous locality.
