National Cutlery Works Germany Horn Handle Pen Knife 1910-1930

Description: This is a piece of cutlery history from National Cutlery, Germany. According to our research it was made between 1910 & 1930. It is a smaller knife, measuring about 2 3/4" when closed. It is an excellent size for a watch or purse pocket. It's also very attractive with a nicely colored horn handle, an oval medallion, and just enough patination and very light pitting to show off its age. This knife is in very good user condition. Both blades have excellent edges, show little wear, and have excellent snap. The main shows no play when open while the secondary shows just noticeable play, well within user range. The horn handle shows some chipping along the mark side top. There is also a small chip from the pile side bolster at the secondary blade, as well as a few light scratches to the bolsters. ---------------------------------------------------------Please see item photos and condition report. They may have salvageable parts, be a tool with broken or missing parts, or something we think may be of interest to other collectors. A rare pocket knife with broken blades may fall into this category. Or we may label it as collectable. This said, all item descriptions are based upon visual inspection only.
