New Intermec 2475 2480 2481 2485 2486 Keypad Membrane Repair

Description: New ButtonWorx™ replacement keypad for the 248X series. Install this between the original rubber keypad and the circuit board. The original keypad will then press down on the ButtonWorx™ membrane to completing the switch. This completely repairs hard to press buttons that are failing due to worn out rubber keypads. The membrane never wears out and it blocks any future dirt or oils from causing problems. Graphics Overlay When removing the original keypad you have to first peel up the plastic button overlay which damages the adhesive and printing for the button labels. While you can live without it or try to stick the original back down with some type of adhesive, it's never going to look good again. Note: This repair pad does not include rubber buttons or repair worn lettering on your rubber buttons. While the vast majority of button failure is due to worn out rubber contacts, it is possible to have corrosion or other physical damage to the circuit board that cannot be repaired by replacing the keypad. If the buttons became harder to press over time, that is worn rubber contacts. If buttons suddenly stopped working one day, especially if they are less used buttons or an entire string of buttons (example: tab, A,S,D,F) then you may have damage that requires repair.
