Description: For sale is a beautiful signed Newcomb Pottery vase. It is a blue color with flowers / vine around the top rim. It is marked on the bottom MW 29, which indicates a manufactured date of 1922. It also is marked 212 AFS, which I believe is the mold number and the initials of Anna Francis Simpson, who was a very respected artist for Newcomb Pottery. There’s also one additional mark. I can’t tell if it’s a JJ or an 11. The Newcomb Pottery mark is a N inside a C. The vase is approximately 4.25 inches tall and about 6.5 inches wide. The opening on top is approximately 5 inches. There are no chips or cracks noted on this vase. There’s one small mark on the side that I don’t know if it’s a normal part of the finish or what. I have pictured it in the last picture it’s not very conspicuous, but I want to make sure to note it. I’m sure others have far more expertise on this type of pottery than I, so please look at pictures for most accurate description, and ask questions prior to bidding. The Item will be insured, and shipped via USPS unless The buyer request otherwise.
