NIELS ERIK FROM DENMARK STERLING SILVER AMAZONITE MODERNIST MCM PENDANT NECKLACE

Description: Stunning vintage N. E. From amazonite necklace. This is a collectable piece of Danish modernist design from the 1960s, by renowned silversmith and designer Niels Erik From of Nakskov, Denmark. The necklace features a large cabochon of brilliant turquoise amazonite. The pendant part of the necklace comprises a big domed cabochon held in a plain collet, within another bold circular frame. Both are suspended on a silver bar with an integral suspension loop on the back of the bar. The pendant measures approximately 52 mm (2 inches) long and 33 mm (1 3/10 inches) wide, and the cabochon is 21 mm (4/5 inch) in diameter. The back of the cabochon is marked 'STERLING DENMARK N.E. FROM 925 S'. The chain is stamped on one of the links with 'FROM 925 S.' The necklace is in excellent vintage condition.Please note this is a necklace, and not a pendant and separate chain. The pendant cannot be removed from the chain.
