Description: Oklahoma New Mexico & Pacific 7 Ardmore OK circa 19167 2-6-0 Rogers 1887 19½x26 Unknown.to Oklahoma, New Mexico & Pacific #7, in 2/1914 (leased).In service 6/30/1918. All equipment was owned by the Western Car & Equipment Co and leased to ONM&P, The Oklahoma, New Mexico & Pacific Railway was incorporated in Oklahoma on January 8, 1913, to build a railroad from Ardmore to Lawton, OK, 100 miles. The section from Admore to Ringling was completed and in operation on June 30, 1916. In addition, the company operated under contract the line of the Ringling & Oilfields Railway (Ringling Jct. t0 Healdton, OK, 5.96 miles). John Ringling, of Chicago, IL, was president of the railroad. Ringling also was the owner of the Ringling Brothers Circus. The railroad was sold to the Santa Fe in October of 1926 and the equipment was transferred to the St Louis & Hanibal RR that was also owned by Ringling.
