Description: ORIGINAL WORLD WAR TWO U.S. ARMY M-1943 FIELD JACKET SIZE 38 REGULAR. This jacket is made of an olive drab color cotton sateen with brown plastic buttons. The instruction tag is present on the inside lining. The size tag "38R" is present at the inside collar The contract tag inside the pocket is present but it is washed out and unreadable. The jacket is in overall very good condition showing some scattered areas of soil on the outside shell & the inside lining (see close up photos with pencil point for scale). There are no rips, tears, holes or fray. The collar and cuffs are not frayed or worn through which is often the case with these jackets. The drawstring is present at the waist. All of the brown plastic buttons are present (one of the front buttons was missing but I replaced it with a matching original button and sewed it back in place with original olive drab thread). Measurements are: armpit to armpit - 23 inches, sleeve length measured shoulder seam to cuff - 24 inches, overall length - 30 inches.
