Description: >Offered here is an old and original 1955 ALL-AMERICAN SPORTS CLUB uncut football card sheet!! Please see all six photos, as they are an important part of my description. This exceedingly rare vintage football card sheet measures approximately 12" x 9", and was originally printed on semi-glossy, fragiley thin paper stock. <>The history behind these obscure, rare paper cards: a collector club was started in the mid-1950's, offering kids an opportunity to join the club for a one dollar membership. In return, the kid "collector" would receive a membership card, a pinback button along with "sports hero pictures", which refers to the card sheet I'm offering here! There was even a "newsletter" kid members received, which also offered opportunities for sports prizes of all sorts. This football card sheet is numbered #161-192, which includes 32 cards in all plus a few rookie cards as well. Notable stars included on the sheet are NFL players Don Shula, Marion Campbell, Jack Spinks, Tom Keane, Dick Lane (Dick Night Train Lane), Buddy Young, Pat Summerall, Jim Sears, John Olszewski, Dick Lane and many, many others. <>A current trend is for collectors and/or dealers to "cut" the individual cards for submission to grading services...I will leave that chore to a savvy collector/dealer who can see when a great opportunity presents itself!! <>Condition: all four corners of the card sheet shows old/yellowed tape marks present from prior display (most likely from one of the kiddie collectors back in the day!). The sheet exhibits light paper tweaks (from prior handling) throughout, but there's little creasing of note! There are no rips or tears present!
