This iconic instrument was the first model that Paul Reed Smith brought to the public at PRS Guitars’ first Winter NAMM show in 1985 and has been a top seller ever since. Played by internationally touring artists, gigging musicians, and aspiring players, the Custom 24 features PRS’s patented Gen IIII tremolo system and PRS 85/15 pickups with volume and tone controls and a 5-way blade switch. 85/15 pickups were personally designed by Paul Reed Smith to offer remarkable clarity and extended high and low end. The Custom 24 is the original PRS. Since its introduction, it has offered a unique tonal option for serious players and defined PRS tone and playability. FEATURES Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - there are a couple of tiny nicks/chips in the finish & various mild surface scratches, but for the most part the guitar is very clean. Neck: Pattern Regular mahogany neck with cream side-dots. 10" radius rosewood fingerboard with abalone bird inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. PRS Phase III Locking tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition. Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body with carved figured maple Ten Top in Orange Tiger finish, with exposed maple binding. The top shows off some absolutely stunning flame figuring! PRS Patented Tremolo bridge with hybrid hardware. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 6.2 oz. Electronics: PRS 59/09 TCI tuned humbuckers with cream bezels. Master volume & tone controls with 5-way selector switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition. Case: Original hardshell case included along with original hang tags/paperwork.
