Longman. He became a tall stout man with blue eyes and brown hair. On Fielding H. Yost’s “Point-a Minute” teams at the University of Michigan in 1903, 1904 and 1905 he was a great line plunger and a splendid blocker. Frank was head football coach in 1906 and 1907 at the University of Arkansas, and in 1909 and 1910 at Notre Dame University where his teams won eleven games, lost one and tied two. Mr. Longman has recently acquired an interest in a new firm of photographers who have taken part of Mr. Skinner’s store on State Street and will do a general commercial photographic business. The new firm is to be known as Longman & Co., and its members are Frank C. Longman, Roy Williams,… and W. W. Thompson. HE WENT FROM BEING FOOTBALL PLAYER AT MICHIGAN TO A COLLEGE HEAD COACH TO A PHOTOGRAPHER BUSINESSMAN AND LAWYER IN VERY SHORT ORDER. HE DIED IN 1928 AT THE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL. THE SIGMA NU HOUSE IN THE PHOTO WAS ONLY USED FOR A FEW YEARS BEFORE A NEW ONE WAS ACQUIRED. THE PHOTO MEASURES ABOUT 4 1/2" X 6 1/2" AND HAS SOME RESIDUE ON THE BACK FROM A SCRAPBOOK AND A VERY SMALL PULL TOP LEFT.
