Use a 40mm Padlock, Padlock NOT Included. This security bar locks every drawer. Just pull up slightly on the inner slide bar to simultaneously release all lock points. The spring loaded hinge swings the bar clear, allowing all file drawers to open. The inner slide bar interlocks with a locking lug at each drawer opening when in the locked position providing additional security. Easy Installation - Opening of File Drawers Is Unnecessary During Installation. Easily Reversible For Left Or Right Side Of Cabinet.Installation Instructions:Remove wooden shipping block.Drill a hole on the front of the cabinet using a .108” diameter drill bit. The hole should be 5-1/8” from the top of the cabinet and 1/4” to the left or right of the opening of the top drawer.Install a sheet metal screw through the top hinge hole of the locking bar and into the drilled hole and secure in place. Use provided screws, do not use Pan Head or Round Head Screws.Using the hinge as a locator, drill the remaining holes.Drive remaining sheet metal screws home while keeping hinges firmly against the cabinet. To reverse locking bar, bend orange retaining tab in 90 degrees. Remove orange slide bar andre-insert from opposite end. Bend locking tab out again.
