Description: A selection of traditional chrome chainsets or right hand chainwheels from Raleigh. These are designed to work with original style bottom brackets with cotter pins, and will be mainly of interest to collectors and restorers. * Please note if you need replacement cotter pins please ask. I also have these readily available. * Discovered these recently in a forgotten corner of the store room where they have been lurking undisturbed for a number of years. Storage conditions for these was very damp , so most have some degree of tarnishing. Please see individual photos and descriptions for individual condition. Models currently listed :- ************************************ Complete Chainwheel sets :- RBR 196 : Single Chainwheel 46 Tooth x 6 1/2" /170mm Full Set with Left Hand Crank * Original And Rare Heron's Head Design * * Please note that there is quite a bit of tarnishing on this and it would definitely benefit from a rechrome. Otherwise it is new and unused , so mechanically intact, just suffering from very poor storage. 32 Tooth x 4 1/4" Crank * Important , the crank length on these has been discovered to only be 4" / 10cm * : Chrome steel junior chainset , 32 tooth. Crank is 4 " ( 10cm} Measured pedal hole centre to axle hole centre. A few tiny tarnish marks on chainwheel, light tarnishing on both cranks. Left hand crank has " Walter Raleigh" emblem. 32 Tooth x 4 1/4" Set 2 : * Important , the crank length on these has been discovered to only be 4" / 10cm * Chrome steel junior chainset , 32 tooth. Crank is 4 " ( 10cm} Measured pedal hole centre to axle hole centre. Light tarnishing on both chainwheel and cranks 32 Tooth x 4 1/4" Set 3 : Chrome steel junior chainset , 32 tooth. Crank is 4 1/4" ( 11cm} Measured pedal hole centre to axle hole centre. Light tarnishing on both chainwheel and cranks 36 Tooth x 5 " Crank * : Chrome steel junior chainset , 36 tooth. Crank is 5 " ( 12.5cm} Measured pedal hole centre to axle hole centre. Some tarnish marks on chainwheel, light tarnishing on both cranks. I believe these were a guarantee exchange on a new Raleigh bike , which were replaced because of a fault in the chainguard disc. Chainguard disc is missing , and one of the disc fitting holes still has original rivet fitted. 40 /49 Tooth Dual x 6 1/2" : Dual chainwheel set for racers, Inner ring 40 tooth , outer ring 49 Tooth. 6 1/" 16cm Cranks measured from centre of pedal hole to centre of Axle hole. Lined crank with Walter Raleigh logo. Generally OK :- Some light surface tarnishing on inner side of Right Hand Chainwheel set . More serious tarnishing on a couple of spots on the inside of left hand crank , and securing bolt heads on right hand side, otherwise mechanically sound ************************************** Right Hand Chainwheels only - NO left hand crank included :- 40 tooth x 5 1/2" Crank. Right hand Chainwheel No left hand crank. Crank is 5 1/2" Measured pedal hole centre to axle hole centre. Generally good condition for age - Some minor tarnish spots , also tarnishing on hub boss - please see photos. 40 tooth x 5 1/2" Crank. ( 2) Right hand Chainwheel No left hand crank. Crank is 5 1/2" Measured pedal hole centre to axle hole centre. Generally good condition for age - Identical model to 40 tooth set above. RBR182. Some tarnishing on outer surfaces. Inner chainwheel essentially rust free. Some rusty marks at cotter pin holes. I believe this set was a guarantee replacement on a new bike . Chainset was exchanged because of the marks near cotter pin holes, so set has been fitted but not used. 46 Tooth x 6 1/2" White Disc : 46 tooth single chainwheel with white plastic chain disc. Right hand only No Left hand crank / White chain disc has raleigh " R " logo moulded in in 3 places. Some tarnish spots , particularly on the inner surface of the chainwheel.. A brown stain affecting some of the white disc , but this would clean off if required. Thank you for your interest
