This is one of the earlier (if not the first) tags for the RED RYDER rifle. SOME HISTORY (as I Know it) This tag is the 1940/1941 version of this design. Earlier Tags (1937-1939) using this format had prices included in bold Red for the rifles, and a price bubble of $1 for the Sharpshooter Telescope that they were introducing. The Earlier Tag did not have the RED RYDER gun in the catalog. The RR gun was fitted into the top of the list of guns that they were promoting and they reformatted the top area to get it in there.
