Description: This electric skillet is from 1966. It heats up within 90 seconds tops. There is a picture of water starting to heat up in one of the pictures (small bubbles). The skillet has a liquid core, sold typically by door to door salesman back then. “The special oil-core eliminates the need for a double boiler. The oil-core provides even heat across bottom and up the sides of the utensil at any temperature up to 400°F” Things to note: *It’s heavy. (Stainless steel plus the oil liquid inside the unit) *It has a build up of residue from over the years in the electrical pocket (see pictures). *When it’s on and working, the plug does get quite warm.
