Description: Beautifully restored antique solid golden oak index card filing/storage box for documents or index cards. The box measures 6 5/8" long x 4" tall x 5 5/8" wide. Inside measures 5 7/8" long x 3 5/8" tall x 5 1/8" wide. The box is constructed of 1/4" thick oak and uses fingerjoints for strength. Top is a 3-ply maple veneered plywood and bottom is a solid sheet of mahogany. Missing/broken hardware was replaced with period appropriate. Refinished with Satin MinWax Varnish and hand-polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax to a soft luster. Dark blue felt lines inside bottom. Excellent condition. Cork pads protect bottom.
