Description: Up for bid is a very collectible relief print by the acclaimed American artist ROBERT INDIANA. The print was created in 1967 for the well known portfolio entitled STAMPED INDELIBLY which featured rubber stamp prints by 14 different artists and poets. Published by IndianaKatz (NYC), printed by William Katz as an edition of 225 copies. All prints are executed on sheets of white woven paper measuring 9.375" x 6.5". As issued, all prints were mounted onto a larger vellum leaf, and then bound into a hardback cloth portfolio book measuring 11.5" x 9" x1". All prints are signed in pencil, but not numbered (each portfolio was numbered on a separate colophon page). Participating artists included Robert Creeley, Allen Ginsberg, Red Grooms & Kenneth Koch, Robert Indiana, Allen Jones, Josef Levi, Gerard Malanga, Marisol, Claes Oldenberg, Peter Saul, Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann, and John Willenbecher. Over the years, most of the original Stamped Indelibly portfolios have been disassembled, with the prints then sold/displayed individually. This particular Robert Indiana example is further separated from the original vellum backing sheet as shown. It is in very good vintage condition, with a couple very light scuff marks to the bottom right quadrant as shown. The back of the sheet has the expected residue from the original four corner mounting hinges. Please note, the ink color used for this print is navy blue. This item will ship flat to all domestic locations via USPS. All foreign locations will ship via eBay International Standard Delivery.
