Description: Ryne Sandberg is a former second baseman who came up to the major league with the Philadelphia Phillies but spent his entire career with the Chicago Cubs. He was a perennial All-Star, Gold Glove winner, and Silver Slugger winner. He was the league MVP in 1984 and the home run leader in 1990. His jersey number was retired by the Cubs and is enshrined in both their and the National Baseball Halls Of Fame. He later went on to manage the Philadelphia Phillies. His 1983 Donruss card pictured here is his rookie card in a Donruss base annual set and is in beautiful condition, graded a 6 by SGC defined as Near-Mint-to-Excellent. Long-term storage has been a climate-controlled, smoke-free home inside a plastic baseball card holder.
