After twenty years of designing, hand-crafting, and hand detailing historic wooden houses, churches, buildings, and unique locations worldwide, Shelia Thompson, the artist, and owner of Shelia's Collectibles, released an an amazing full set of miniature replica's that feature many of her best pieces. These unbelievable creations genuinely capture the essence of America, like only a Shelia's designed collectible can. These wooden hand-detailed houses are perfect for limited space locations or as an easy way to acquire several pieces for a fraction of the standard costs and make them much easier to display in space restricted locations. Just like her full sized pieces these miniatures are intricately detailed with hand-painted details, to provide a historically accurate point of view. The majority of these finely crafted, miniature pieces have average dimensions of five inches (5.00") tall by five inches (5.00") wide are one-half of an inch (0.50") thick and weigh four to six ounces (4-6.0oz) per piece. Each Shelia's Collectibles piece was hand-crafted using unique techniques developed by artist Shelia Thompson including her one-of-a-kind dual-level construction method which provides a three-dimensional view of the property. These pieces were then put through a hand detailing process, only using historically correct vivid colors assuring the historical accuracy of each piece. Ms. Thompson diligently continued to develop her methods over time earning a rare collaboration in 1997 with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, to design and reproduce the Trust's eighteen historic properties the majority of which (if properly cared for and stored) have stood the test of time. Several of these properties are still in circulation to this day more than thirty years after their production and are valued treasures to collectors, historians, teachers and even as personal memento's for many.
